Product Overview

Pedigree:  The Rapet family has been crafting beautiful wines from around the Hill of Corton since 1765. The Domaine comprises 20 hectares in the villages of Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-les-Beaune and Beaune. The attention to detail in the vineyards facilitates precise winemaking and pinpoint expression of their terroirs. The grapes for this wine are sourced from the climat of "Le Grande Corvee de Bully", adjacent to the village of Pernand-Vergelesses.
Grape Varieties: 100% Chardonnay
Vintage: 2017

Winemaking
The gently sloped vineyards have poor, limestone soils conferring rich minerality and freshness. This is faithfully protected and expressed through precision winemaking. The wine remains in contact with the lees and undergoes batonnage, lees stirring, until the July after the vintage. New oak is kept to 10% to ensure the wine remains minerally, fresh and suitable for early enjoyment.
Alcohol: 13%

Tasting Notes:
Color: Brilliant pale lemon with hints of green.
Nose: Notes of ripe citrus fruit and just a hint of filberts.
Palate: Lemon, citrus and flinty minerality are complimented by the fresh, mouthwatering acidity. A lovely, "this is me!" palate authority and a medium long finish complete the package.
When to Drink: This wine is near its peak but will improve for a year or two..
Serving Temperature: 50° F - 52° F

Food Pairing:
Pair with river fish in buerre blanc, poultry or simply enjoy as an aperitif. An excellent accompaniment to rich white fish dishes as the acid cuts oil, butter and cream.
