Tasting Notes:
Color: Medium red, garnet, with ruddy earth tones at the rim, showing the evolution.
Nose: The gentle nose is redolent of red berries, including blackcurrant and raspberries.
Palate: The characteristics on the nose carry forward into the wine. The wine shows Lionel's deft touch of balance, elegance and complexity. Tannis are beautifully integrated and seamless. Like the Rosso, the wood is not discernable other than as a contributor to the overall mouthfeel and amplitude of the wine. The finish too, is long and harmonious as befits a wine at the peak of its evolution.
