Palmadina Pinot Grigio is made to be racy, minerally, direct and focused on release and to retain its quality for up to 4 years. At four years the wine develops added complexity, with nutty notes and a broader palate impression. No oak is used. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed, cool fermented and bottled under screw cap closures for easy opening and to avoid the risks associated with cork. The wine is kept in bottle for a few months and released to the market.
Color: Star bright, pale straw yellow, with green and copper flecks.
Nose: The nose shows notes of peach kernel and apricot skin. The bouquet is subtle and contained but one can feel the energy waiting to burst onto your palate.
Focused entry, The minerally character is there and the wine does an admirable job of being racy and fleshy at the same time, delicately treading the line between lean and big; sufficient weight, elegant too. .
